Tool Lifespan and Maintenance Guidelines:
This rotary shear tool is designed for materials with a maximum strength of 600 MPa / 87,022 PSI.
Under optimal conditions as outlined in the manual, the tool can last up to 4,000 m / 13,123 ft or more.
Realistically, expect a lifespan of 2,000 – 3,000 m / 6,561 – 9,842 ft. Several factors influence tool life:
Material Properties and Preparation
Adhere to the maximum material strength limit. Beveling stronger materials drastically reduces tool life and risks damaging both the tool and the machine.
Material preparation affects tool life. If using flame-cut materials, grind the edges before beveling. Plasma cutting can harden edges, significantly impacting tool longevity.
